It's quite small - a semi-detached two up/two down.
You go down a pot hole filled driveway and then down a small lane to get to the house. It is surrounded by other houses though. A young couple (like us) next door (attached) and an older couple in the house across the lane (bit like Bill and Mary).
The lady has just renovated the place - regibbed the walls, re-wried, plumbed and added central heating, replaced all the windows with double glazing, new bathroom, new kitchen and added an ensuite.
Here's the exterior out the front.
The cottage is called Yewlea.
You open the door straight onto the lounge - it has a big brick fireplace with a working fire...although no mantlepiece. She is going to put an iron grate in and the chimney has been swept and repaired.

If you look back towards the door...

The room is a little bigger than the lounge we had in Baker's Buildings - it could fit our couch, an armchair and the table in...i think!
You then go through a door with a wooden latch into the kitchen. Unfortunately this doesn't have room for a dining room table.

It has a new washing machine (no dryer), a new dishwasher, a new two-oven stove (so you can bake and grill at the same time), and a new rangehood. It's got a big sink. There are heaps of cupboards...but more on that later.
When you turn around 180 degrees, you're looking at the door to the downstairs bathroom. The little area under the stairs (where you can see the hoover in this photo) is apparently where you would put the dining room table...have to be bloody small!

The downstairs bathroom (through the door on the right) has a shower, toilet and sink. No drawers.

You then go up the stairs to the second level.

At the top of the stairs are two doors, one to the second bedroom...

The bedroom is about the size of our room in Baker's Buildings so quite large and looks out over the garden at the rear and the forest.
Here's the kicker! The cupboard you can see in this photo is the only cupboard in the house!
There are two loft spaces (which are apparently quite large) but no airing/hot water closet for towels, sheets etc.
The second door at the top of the stairs, obviously goes to the master bedroom...

This also has a fireplace, but it's ornamental only. This looks out over the front garden (although this belongs to the neighbours). We would only have the rear garden.
The door in this last photo leads to the ensuite which has a shower, toilet and basin - but no vanity cupboards...

So if we go back downstairs into the kitchen, this leads out to the garden at the rear...

This is really just lawn, leading down to the forest. She is supplying a petrol lawnmower. There is no concrete pad to have a table and chairs on, although this could go on the lawn.
This is the rear of the house...

And you've probably already spotted the shed. This is quite small but could house all your tools etc and you could work in there on a rainy day - not on anything big tho!

So overall, quite small (although there is a spot in the lounge we could put the table...it could cope with 1150mms wide table?)
And there isn't a lot of day to day storage - even wardrobes.
Having said all that, it's in a lovely area, it's very tastefully decorated and in these desperate times...
